Nichole & Daniel got married 12th April 2018 at the stunning Northamptonshire venue Crockwell Farm.
Lets hear all about Nichole’s Big Day….
The Dress….
I didn’t hang about when it came to choosing my dress. I started looking in February 2017. I spent a month or so going around shops in my local town but nothing made me feel amazing and each dress had something I did not like about it. I went to Sammie Lou’s on recommendation of a friend who had bought their dress from there. I took my Nan and my best friend along to my appointment as I knew I could trust their judgement. I tried on about 10 dresses with Sammie but non stood out enough. Just before we called it a day, Sammie suggested I try on a dress they had brought in for a show. At this time the dress was not stocked in the shop. I NEVER imagined myself in something with a low cut back because I was a little self-conscious. It was like fate had hit me! The dress did not need pinning back so I got the full affect of how BEAUTIFUL it was. The detail, the lace trim, it was just ‘Perfect’. I fell in love with it, I had to have it! When you know, you know!
The ‘LOVE’ Story
I spent months joking around with Dan that I was ready to get married and that two kids and a house was of own was good enough reason to ask me ……………………….. BUT NOTHING!!
So it was time for a different approach I just did not mention it to him at all! I then forgot about it myself… not because I did not want to as I REALLY DID but I just go distracted from it almost. Then just after Christmas but not quite New Year in 2016 Dan suddenly decided we needed to go to Winter Wonderland in London. We sorted the childcare and lucky us off we went child free to spend some quality time together in London, we had such a lovely day at Winter Wonderland that we stayed on all evening as well. Dan was acting a little strange though quiet and subdued… I was really excited as we had pre-booked the ferris wheel and London is so pretty at night. Dan on the other hand was worrying about whether we would have a cabin to ourselves or how many people you share with?? I reassured him that regardless we were going to have a lovely experience. When we got on we did in fact have a carriage to ourselves and we started making our way up to the top… All of a sudden Dan moved from next to me to the seat opposite me.. which he then proceeded to get down on one knee and that’s when it happened…. The tears flooded both of our eyes it was such an unforgettable moment. I wont tell you what was said as that’s something I would like to keep personal just for us. All you need to know was it was magical I said ‘Yes’ of course and we both very emotional.
Dan and I met at 17 through mutual friends. I remember asking my friend about him, she said he was very shy. We started talking and from there on we were inseparable. 6 years later we have two children, a dog a lovely home and each other getting married was certainly the icing on the cake. We are the first of our friendship circle to get wed so everyone found it special. The first to have children as well. We are very lucky to have such supportive family and friends.
Nichole’s Most Memorable part of the day…
My most memorable part of the day has to be walking down the aisle and setting eyes on Dan for the first time. Id only been apart from him for one night but I knew he would be so nervous all I wanted to do was be with him. I remember having a soft nudge from the wedding planner to start making my way down the aisle with my Dad and my Pap at my side. I remember having a filter of just Dan in my view. I was oblivious to anybody else in the room I just needed to look at Dan. There is no feeling to describe the way you feel when you are about to marry the man of your dreams. It’s so surreal. It flies by so quickly and before you know it you are walking back out the door as man and wife. Make the most of it all and take time to look around you and take it all in. It really is so special the first time you see each other after all of the months of planning and dreaming of how you will both look!
